We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting and aligning pipe systems with precision, ensuring quality assembly that meets project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong math skills, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and hands-on experience preparing and fitting pipe for welding. Daily responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and aligning pipe, safely operating cranes and forklifts, and working closely with welders and supervisors to deliver high-quality fabrication. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Requirements
Mathematical proficiency: Strong skills in fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and angles to ensure precise pipe measurement and layout.
Blueprint and schematic reading: Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, isometric sketches, and fabrication plans.
Fabrication skills: Experience in cutting, beveling, and preparing pipe for welding and assembly.
Equipment operation: Skilled in the safe use of cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
Tool use: Familiarity with pipe fitting tools such as bevelers, grinders, torches, measuring instruments, and alignment tools.
Physical requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and spend extended periods on your feet, with occasional climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
Safety knowledge: Commitment to maintaining OSHA and company safety standards in shop and field environments.
Teamwork and communication: Ability to work effectively with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to ensure quality and timely project execution.
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of industrial or fabrication pipe fitting experience preferred.
