Big Elk Energy Systems is seeking skilled Painters and Blasters to join our Paint/Blast Department. These roles are critical to ensuring the highest quality finish and protection for our fabricated equipment, including pipes, vessels, headers, and valves. The ideal candidates will have prior industrial experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and precision.
As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying a variety of coatings such as zinc, epoxy, and plural components for both above-ground and below-ground applications. You’ll work with forklifts and indoor cranes to handle equipment and ensure surfaces are coated to specification, meeting durability and quality standards.
As a Blaster, you will prepare large industrial surfaces using grit or sandblasting equipment in a controlled environment. You’ll ensure surfaces are properly cleaned and prepared to receive coatings, adhering to all safety and quality procedures. Both roles require the ability to work on your feet for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and operate safely in an industrial environment.
